Feb. 5th (7:00-9:00)
Assemblage Art Series — Session 3 This session explores the physical remnants of technology—objects once central to daily life that now feel obsolete or overlooked. Participants will work with technological materials to create a 5x7 three-dimensional assemblage that reflects on tactility, memory, and material presence.
We’ll consider how hands-on engagement contrasts with unseen systems and digital abstraction, focusing on transformation through physical making. The emphasis remains on process, curiosity, and experimentation.
All base materials are provided. Participants are encouraged to bring personal technological items such as calculators, CDs, floppy disks, alarm clocks, keyboards, remote controls, or old cameras.
This session may be taken on its own or as part of the full three-session series.
