Artist
Residency
at Home
Seven in-person group sessions. Three private check-ins on your own schedule. One season to build a practice that actually holds up, in the studio and out of it.
What this is
Artist Residency at Home is a hybrid residency hosted by Super Secret Projects, built for artists (any medium, any experience level) who already have a working practice and are ready to push it further. Not just in the studio, but in how you run your career.
Six artists meet for seven in-person group sessions at the gallery, roughly every other Wednesday, from October through January. Between sessions, each artist gets three private 1:1 check-ins, held virtually and scheduled entirely on your own time.
This isn't just about making more work. It's about learning the parts of a practice nobody teaches you: how to talk about your work, how to find opportunities, how to keep going after the residency ends.
In every group session
Peer Crit
Structured feedback from the five other artists in your cohort: the same faces, all season, so the conversation builds.
Instructor Crit
Direct, working-artist feedback on where the piece is and where it could go next.
Opportunities & Tips
Real talk on residencies, calls for entry, grants, and the practical side of a career nobody hands you a syllabus for.
Open FAQ
Every session ends with open floor: bring whatever's actually on your mind that week.

Led by Diana Vidal
Diana Vidal is the founder, director, and curator of Super Secret Projects. She conceives and executes the gallery's shows, and juries every open call and group show, which means the feedback in this residency isn't theoretical. It comes from someone who makes the calls on what gets shown, how it's hung, and why.
She's spent 10+ years supporting artists one-on-one and in groups, and is a working artist herself, which means the feedback in this residency comes from someone who's still making work, not just running the space around it.
