An online 7-week cohort focused on supportive and informative critique for photographers and video artists.
Project Critique: Lens-Based Artists is a seven-week critique cohort for photographers and video artists working on a sustained project or body of work.
Participants meet weekly in a small group to share work, receive thoughtful feedback, and develop greater clarity around their projects. Sessions are structured to support both critique and project development, allowing artists to revisit their work over time and incorporate feedback as their projects evolve.
The program culminates in an online exhibition and a live virtual artist talk (Week 7) where each participant presents their work and discusses their process
Program Fee:
The program fee covers the full 7-week cohort.
Early Registration: $365 (before March 20th)
Regular Registration: $395 (deadline March 29th)
Artists at all stages of a project are welcome to apply.

Program Details

Project Critique: Photographers & Video Artists is a 7-week online critique program designed for artists who are actively working on photography, have a specific project or works in progress.
Participants meet weekly in a small cohort to share work, receive thoughtful feedback, and develop their work through sustained dialogue with other artists.
This program is designed to support artists working through editing, sequencing, and conceptual direction while building a deeper understanding of their work through critique.
Projects may be finished or in progress. Artists are encouraged to bring work that is still evolving.

The cohort meets once per week for seven weeks in two-hour online sessions via Zoom.
Week 1
Introductions and project previews. Each artist shares their practice and an overview of the work they plan to bring into the program.Weeks 2–6
Weekly critique sessions where artists present work and receive feedback from the group.Week 7
Final presentations and discussion reflecting on the development of the work over the course of the program.Participants will present work multiple times during the program.

You will be asked to provide a portfolio link, a brief bio, and short responses about your work, what you hope to gain from the program, and the project you plan to bring to the critique sessions. You will also select the day and time session that works best for your schedule.

At early registration, the cost breaks down to approximately $52 per session.
Artists who are accepted into the program will receive a payment link by email to confirm their seat.
Seats are secured once payment is received.

About Your Instructor
The program is led by Diana Vidal, artist and Director of Super Secret Projects in Beacon, New York. Her practice spans photography, videography, sculpture, and handmade bookmaking, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to contemporary art.
Diana is a Teaching Assistant at the International Center of Photography and brings both a practicing artist’s perspective and a curator’s eye to the critique process. She leads critique groups, portfolio reviews, and artist-development programs, and is a co-founder of Beacon Photo Club, a community initiative that brings local photographers together. .
